Yesterday, a friend asked me about the songs that I want to dedicate to my future hubby. I couldn't answer right away. If you know me real well, you know that I have a great passion for music. I know a lot of songs, I adore a lot of them. And from that lengthy list, I just can't pick five right away. So now, after writing a letter for my future hubby last week, I am going to share with you 10 songs that I will dedicate to him. I am saving the best for last so I am putting my top choice at the end of the list. Now, off you go . . .

Unless you don't understand Tagalog. I don't think I have to expound on that.
9. Born For You - David Pomeranz

It's as if the powers of the universe conspired to make you mine. ♫ For someone like me who truly believes in destiny, I think I should say that it has got to be one of the sweetest songs in the planet! ♥ ♥ ♥
8. I'll Be - Edwin McCain
♫ I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be your love suicide. I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life. ♫ This song reminds me so much of where I failed in my past relationship and the vow I made to correct it. A long time ago, after all the realizations set in, I promised myself that when I enter a new relationship, I will try to be more considerate and supportive. Believe me, I was anything but supportive. So, yes, I am going to be the greatest fan of your life, future honey. ☺
7. Till I Found You - Freestyle
♫ I had been badly hurt before, ever since then I would ignore any chance for love, I thought it was a lie. I learned to rely upon myself and I thought that I was doing well until you came with something I just can't deny. I used to think that I was fine, oh, that I was doing alright. I love you with all my might. ♫ I have been saying this a lot, I love the idea of being in love but I am shying away from it at the same time. Okay, maybe I am a little scared to fall in love because I got badly bruised before. Maybe I have been a little too careful for my own good. Maybe I don't trust guys that much. Maybe I am taking the I-can-be-happy-and-I-am-doing-fine-without-a-man thing too seriously. But I know, time will come, someone will break those beliefs and make me realize that yes, maybe I am happy alone, but I can be happier with him in my life. ♥
6. Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin - Gary Valenciano

Not just because I really got hooked with the teleserye of the same name. No. It has been one of my favorite OPMs since time immemorial. The last line of the chorus is my favorite. ☺
5. If I Ain't Got You - Alicia Keys
♫ Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all, if it ain't you, baby, if I ain't got you, baby. Some people want diamond rings. Some just want everything. But everything means nothing if I ain't got you. ♫ I guess I don't have to explain why I will dedicate this song to my future beau too. The lyrics are very clear. ☺
4. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum
♫ It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now. Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now. And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now . . . ♫ This was the song I had been listening to the whole 2011. Yeah, it is sad, but I think it is sweet at the same time. It's something like yes, we're on the rocks, we're having a hard time, we hate each other at the moment, but all we need is each other to make us feel okay. ♥
3. Tayong Dalawa - Gary Valenciano
♫ Hindi ko na hinahangad ang yaman sa mundo, pagmamahal mo lang ang tanging hinahanap ko. Maari ba'ng sana'y patawarin mo ako. Pagkat tayong dalawa ay sa isa't isa . . . ♫ Oh, how I love this song! It's more like If I Ain't Got You. I love how Gary V. put feelings in it when he revived it. Just . . . Wow!
2. It Might Be You - Erik Santos feat. Marinel Santos
♫ Looking back as lovers go walking past. Wondering how they met and what makes it last. If I found the place, would I recognize the face? Something's telling me it might be you. It's telling me it might be you . . . ♫ I love Erik and Marinel Santos's rendition of this song. It sounds sweeter and more dramatic, thank you very much. It's one of the classics I love the most. One of my personal favorites. ♥
1. Got to Believe in Magic - Side A
♫ Got to believe in magic, tell me how two people find each other in a world that's full of strangers. Got to believe in magic, something stronger than the moon above. 'Cause it's magic when two people fall in love. ♫ With all due respect to Mr. David Pomeranz and his music genius, I like this version better. Reasons? 1) Because I love Side A. 2) Because I am a huge Rico Yan-Claudine Barretto fan and this is the very version they used in their last movie, Got to Believe. It really is a wonder how two people find each other and eventually fall in love, don't you think so? In my case, it has been a long time (ay weh?), but I am sure that the next time's going to be magical. ♥
I know, I know! I have gone too cheesy again. Pardon my craziness! I don't know how to end this post properly. And I am in a rush. Kind of. So, I am just going to close this by asking you this: What are the songs that remind you of your special someone? Or if, like me, you don't have one at the moment, what are the songs that you would want to dedicate to your future girlfriend/boyfriend?
